New Deputy Governor Of RBI: Daily Current Affairs Of May 2021

T Ravi Shankar has been appointed as deputy governor of the Reserve Bank of India by the Indian government. BP Kanungo has been replaced by Shankar. One of the four RBI deputy governorship level officials will be Ravi Shankar. Since Kanungo’s retirement on April 2, the role has been vacant. Kanungo’s term came to an end last year. In regards to the situation, the government had extended the service to them. Ravi Shankar’s appointment was cleared by the Union Cabinet’s Appointments Committee. His term will last for three years or until the government issues further orders. The RBI’s deputy governors are Michael D Patra, Rajeshwar Rao, and Mukesh Jain. The Monetary Policy Department is led by Michael Patra.

New Chairman Of NHRC: Free Current Affairs Of The Day

From April 25, PC Pant, a member of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), will serve as the commission’s acting president. The President of India has named Justice Prafulla Chandra Pant, a member of the National Human Rights Commission, as Chairman. PC Pant was born in the state of Uttarakhand on August 30, 1952. The armed forces are ready to ramp up the vaccination program and supply oxygen to various states as part of Operation “Co-Jeet.” In addition, the Army has assigned 14 railway coaches to transport medical supplies. In this campaign, all armed forces are working together to defeat the Covid. The Indian Navy has sent two ships to international ports. A ship will transport 40 metric tonnes of liquid oxygen from Bahrain’s Manama port to Mumbai. The Indian Air Force is assisting in the transport of oxygen containers from the United States, Russia, Singapore, and the United Arab Emirates.
