Andhra Roll’s Out EBC Nestham Scheme For Six Lakh Women – Trendy Current Affairs

The Andhra Pradesh government has approved the ‘EBC Nestham’ scheme, under which economically deprived women of dominant castes would earn Rs 15,000 each. The new scheme, which will be added to a similar scheme called Cheyuta, which was introduced last year for women from SC, ST, BC, Kapu, and minority groups, is expected to cost the government an additional Rs 900 crore per year. EBC Nestham, a new program, will begin in the next fiscal year and will offer Rs 45,000 in financial assistance to deserving women aged 45 to 60.
