New CEO Of DCI: Today Latest Current Affairs

Dredging Corporation of India has named George Yesu Veda Victor as its MD and CEO (DCI). The appointment will begin on March 1, 2021, according to the company. Rajesh Tripathi, who had been in charge of these duties until now, retired on February 26. Dredging Corporation of India Limited was established in 1976 as a public sector undertaking. It will be responsible for the maintenance and dredging of Indian seaports. DCI was declared privatization by the Indian government in 2017. The DCI will be under the direction of the Ministry of Shipping. DCI is now under the management of Kandla Port Trust, Paradeep Port Trust, Vishakhapatnam Port Trust, and Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust, following its privatization.

In Chennai, the Competition Commission of India (CCI) has formed a regional office for the Southern States. On February 26, it was opened by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. The CCI is located in New Delhi. The finance ministry announced that regional offices will be formed in Mumbai and Kolkata in the coming years. The new chairman of the CCI is Ashok Kumar Gupta.

Professor Velcheru Narayana Rao has been nominated for an Honorary Fellowship from the Central Literary Academy. The Honorary Fellowship of the Central Literary Academy is the highest honor in the world of literature. This statement was made at the 92nd meeting of the Sahitya Akademi General Council, which was chaired by Sahitya Akademi President Dr. Chandrasekhar. Velcheru Narayana Rao was born in the village of Ambakhandi in the Srikakulam district of West Godavari district in the year 1933.
